1. Who we are
The White Crib ("we", "us", "our") is a UK online shop selling personalised gifts and keepsakes for babies and toddlers. You can contact us at hello@thewhitecrib.com. By placing an order you agree to these terms.
2. Personalised products
Everything we sell, apart from gift vouchers, is made to order using the words, names, dates and choices you enter. You are responsible for checking spelling, dates and details in the preview and again before you pay. We print what you entered, so we cannot accept a complaint about a mistake that was in your order.
The preview is a guide to layout. Colours can differ slightly between screens and printed products, and small differences in fabric, paper and print position are normal for made-to-order goods.
You must not enter text or names that are unlawful, abusive, or that infringe someone else's rights. We may decline or cancel an order that breaks this rule, and we will refund you in full if we do.
3. Pricing and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies. Delivery is shown at checkout before you pay. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. You can pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. We never see or store your card number.
4. Your order and our contract
When you place an order we email you a confirmation. That email confirms we have received your order and payment. Our contract with you is formed when we start making your item, and we will tell you if we cannot fulfil your order, in which case you are refunded in full.
5. Making and delivery
Each item is made after you order it. Typical making times are shown on each product page, and delivery is within the United Kingdom as set out on our delivery and returns page. Delivery dates are estimates. Gift vouchers are emailed instead of posted.
6. Cancelling and returns
Because personalised items are made to your specification, the 14-day right to cancel for a change of mind does not apply to them (Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, regulation 28). If you contact us before we have started making your item we will cancel it and refund you where we can.
This does not affect your rights if something is wrong. If an item arrives faulty, damaged, or not as described or previewed, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. We will reprint or refund at no cost to you. Details are on our delivery and returns page.
7. Gift vouchers
Gift vouchers are emailed as a code and can be spent on anything in the shop. They are valid for 24 months from purchase, cannot be exchanged for cash, and can be used across more than one order until the balance is used. Treat the code like cash: we cannot replace a lost or stolen code. A gift voucher cannot be used to buy another gift voucher. You have 14 days to cancel an unused gift voucher for a refund.
8. Product safety
Our products are keepsakes and gifts. Please read the care and safety information. Small parts, ribbons and packaging should be kept away from babies and small children and used under adult supervision.
9. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit, and it does not affect your legal rights as a consumer. Subject to that, our liability to you for any one order is limited to the price you paid for it.
10. Complaints and the law
If you are unhappy, please write to us first at hello@thewhitecrib.com and we will do our best to put it right. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
