How to look after your gift, and how to use it safely around little ones.
Safety first
- Our products are gifts and keepsakes. They are not toys, and they are not safety equipment.
- Always supervise babies and small children with any product, packaging or ribbon.
- Keep plastic bags and packaging away from babies and children.
- Do not put blankets, cards, framed prints or anything loose in a cot or sleeping space with a baby. Follow current safer sleep advice from the NHS and The Lullaby Trust.
- Hang framed prints out of reach of children and use fixings suitable for your wall.
- Check clothing for loose threads or damage before each wear, and stop using anything that is damaged.
Each product page lists the age it suits, and any safety note for that product.
Looking after clothing and blankets
- Follow the care label inside the item. Washing instructions are also on the product page.
- Wash inside out and avoid fabric softener or bleach, which can wear the print sooner.
- Do not iron directly on the printed area.
- New clothing and blankets should be washed before first use.
Looking after prints and cards
- Keep prints out of strong direct sunlight, which can fade ink over time.
- Frame behind glass or acrylic to keep dust and fingerprints off.
- Prints are posted flat and unframed. Standard frame sizes are given on each product page.
Books and mugs
- Books are for reading together. Young children should look at them with an adult.
- Mugs should be washed by hand to keep the print at its best, unless the product page says otherwise.
